UEST announces the appointment of Dr Leonhard Ganzer effective November 2022. In this role, he will be responsible for driving subsurface technologies and will lead the hydrogen and CO2 related activities.
With Leonhard Ganzer, UEST gains an exceptional expert and leader in underground energy. He started his career in HOT Engineering and is currently head of the Institute of Subsurface Energy Systems at the Technical University Clausthal in Germany focusing on underground hydrogen storage, CO2 injection, carbon capture and storage (CCS) or usage (CCU).
He is experienced in leading roles of R&D projects and technology development for underground storage of hydrogen or CO2. He also acts as expert for the Austrian mining authority for underground gas storage projects.
